Just as the Title Says: I WILL MAKE THIS WORK!
This is something I am working on myself in my life (this blog is a step as well; I'll explain in detail later). Everyone has gone through or is going through what I am, so it's not like I'm special. Sure, it may be new to me, but not to you; take this with a grain of salt. Also, this will be much shorter than my normal content...sorta. To reiterate...
This Isn't New
In truth, both in good times and bad, this is something we all should strive towards. Each and every one of us has our peaks and valleys. We'll keep having peaks and valleys; it just so happens I'm in a new valley, moving past it and forward to the next one. Once past, I may reach a new peak and feel great about myself, only to fall back down another valley, but at least I have the lessons and experience from the previous valley (as well as divine guidance from God) to get me through it. Naturally, this begs the question...
What Got Me Here?
Without going into the details, the long and short is it was my mistakes and missteps. Not taking initiative when the opportunity presents itself, showing undue obedience to simply get a paycheck, not taking my own personal finance seriously. It's also saying 'Yes.' instead of 'No.' or simply not wanting to step on people's toes, knowing that the feeling would not be mutual. It could also be not knowing when to speak out over something or not knowing when to keep quiet.
It's more than just one single choice; it's a domino of choices neatly placed with the one final triggering factor that sets the whole thing in motion...that single choice would not have made that grave of a difference. In most cases. But this isn't the time for doom and gloom. Sure, have that moment, if only to get it out of your system so that you may calm down...IF you can. But I know that I cannot dwell on it for TOO long. There is still work to do.

What Do I Mean "I Will Make This Work!"
I mean precisely that. Since I'm the one that got myself into this mess, I'm the one that has to resolve and redirect my efforts. I cannot expect others to always come to my rescue; as they say, "The Calvary isn't coming. You have to make do." What that basically means is to stop ONLY looking to others. I must acknowledge that I will need help along the way, and any help is appreciated. However, there comes a point to when you are shunned for expecting help to save you instead of learning to improve yourself and the situation around you. The only exception to this is God, but even HE will expect me to put in the work for His Purpose. Fortunately, He is willing to put up with a poor child like me; I have some hope yet.
Now That I SAID It, What Am I Going to DO?
There are several steps to get this done. These steps are not in any specific order Here's what I plan to do for this to work:
- Create outlets that can lead to new revenue.
- This very blog (or at the very least, knowledge and steps to make it work)
- Additional activities that can build an income.
- Budgeting Strategies to get savvier in my spending.
- Find time to better my work/life balance.
- Exercise more.
- Get back in touch with Family/Friends.
- Find a job closer to my career.
- Better my relationship with God.
- Plan out my tasks with a To-Do List.
- Proper Sleep Cycles.
- Better eating habits/Cooking more at home.
- Building Confidence.
This is still a work in progress, and I'll likely either forget or drop certain things during the change, but in doing so, it is still an improvement in the right direction. The ultimate goal is to improve and make the current situation better; already we have made progress in that regard.
What if it Doesn't Work Out?
The most important thing about this is simple. Don't. Be. Discouraged. The whole point of this is to address a problem and find methods of resolving it for the better. By doing this, I've discovered that I'm ACTIVELY TAKING CHARGE of a situation instead of being passive. To be fair, there are times that you must be passive...say, awaiting a job interview or resting from a quality workout.
The beauty of this moment is that it's not the end of the world for me (and for you as well, dear Reader)! I will learn from these experiences and take steps to resolve and improve from them. Also, I can find out more about myself and through this, grow as a person that will make adversity and challenges work to my good and growth! YES! LET'S DO THIS!
